This Privacy Policy describes how the "IG Auto Like - Instagram Auto Like" Chrome extension (the "Extension") collects, uses, and shares information. The Extension is developed by Yue Apps. This policy applies solely to the Extension and does not cover other Yue Apps products, websites, or services.

HOW THIS EXTENSION HANDLES DATA ​

This section describes the specific data practices of the IG Auto Like extension.

Overview ​

The IG Auto Like extension automates liking Instagram posts on a timed schedule, using your existing Instagram browser session.

Permissions Used ​

The Extension requests the following permissions, each with a specific purpose:

  • cookies - Reads Instagram session cookies to detect login status and authenticate API requests
  • storage and unlimitedStorage - Stores settings, like history, and subscription status locally on your device
  • identity - Enables Google Sign-In for Pro subscription authentication
  • alarms - Schedules timed auto-like actions
  • declarativeNetRequest - Modifies request headers to match Instagram's expected format for API calls
  • Host permission (https://*.instagram.com/*) - Required to interact with Instagram's website and API

Instagram Data Accessed ​

You log into Instagram yourself in a normal browser tab. The Extension does not handle your Instagram password; it only uses your existing browser session to fetch the following data from Instagram:

  • Likers and commenters of a specific post
  • Followers/following lists of a target user
  • Posts for a hashtag
  • A user's recent posts and profile information (user ID, username, display name, profile picture URL, follower counts)

All this data is processed locally on your device. The Extension does NOT upload your Instagram followers, following, likers, or commenters lists to any external server.

Data Stored Locally ​

The Extension stores your settings, like history, and subscription status locally on your device using chrome.storage.local. This data never leaves your device.

What This Extension Does NOT Collect ​

The Extension explicitly does NOT:

  • Collect or store your Instagram password
  • Store your Instagram session cookie value (only checks if you're logged in)
  • Upload like history, liked usernames, or liked post IDs to any server
  • Transmit your Instagram followers/following/likers/commenters lists to the developer

INFORMATION WE COLLECT ​

Information You Provide ​

  • Payment Information. When you purchase a Pro subscription, payment is processed by our third-party payment processor, LemonSqueezy. We do not store your financial account information; LemonSqueezy handles payment details according to its own privacy policy. Your email address and a user ID are passed to LemonSqueezy at checkout.
  • Communications. If you contact us directly at [email protected], we may receive information such as your name, email address, and the contents of the message you send us.

Information We Collect When You Use the Extension ​

  • Instagram Session Data. The Extension reads your existing Instagram browser session cookies to detect whether you are logged in and to authenticate requests to Instagram's API. The Extension does not collect or store your Instagram password.
  • Instagram Data. Using your existing session, the Extension fetches likers, commenters, followers/following lists, posts, and profile information from Instagram. This data is processed locally on your device and is not uploaded to any external server.
  • Active Tab URL. The Extension reads the URL of your currently active browser tab to prefill a hashtag, username, or post link. You may also enter these manually.

Information We Receive from Third Parties ​

  • Third-Party Accounts. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and Google account ID for authentication with Supabase and to verify your Pro subscription status.

HOW WE USE INFORMATION ​

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the auto-like functionality of the Extension
  • Verify your Pro subscription status
  • Save your settings and like history locally on your device
  • Process Pro subscription payments through LemonSqueezy
  • Respond to your support inquiries

HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION ​

We share information only with the following third parties as necessary for the Extension's functionality:

  • Instagram (Meta). To perform auto-like actions using your existing Instagram session.
  • Supabase. For Pro subscription authentication and status verification. A Google sign-in token is sent for authentication; your subscription status is read from Supabase.
  • LemonSqueezy. For processing Pro subscription payments. Your email and user ID are passed to LemonSqueezy at checkout.
  • Cloudflare Worker. To load Instagram images for display in the Extension UI. Only image URLs are sent.
  • Google. For "Sign in with Google" authentication. Standard OAuth scopes (openid, email, profile) are requested.

We may also share information:

  • As Required By Law. To satisfy applicable legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, or protect our rights, property, or safety.
  • With Your Consent. When you have given explicit consent.
  • Business Transfers. In connection with a proposed merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, or in the event of insolvency or bankruptcy.

Our legal basis for collecting and using the personal information described above will depend on the personal information concerned and the specific context in which we collect it.

However, we will normally collect personal information from you only (i) where we need the personal information to perform a contract with you; (ii) where the processing is in our legitimate interests and not overridden by your rights; or (iii) where we have your consent to do so. We have a legitimate interest in operating the Extension and communicating with you as necessary to provide it, for example when responding to your queries or improving the Extension.

If we ask you to provide personal information to comply with a legal requirement or to perform a contract with you, we will make this clear at the relevant time and advise you whether the provision of your personal information is mandatory or not.

SECURITY ​

Yue Apps is committed to protecting your information. We employ security measures designed to protect information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, please bear in mind that the Internet cannot be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

DATA RETENTION ​

We retain personal information only for as long as we have an ongoing legitimate business need to do so (for example, to provide you with a service you have requested or to comply with applicable legal requirements).

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize it or, if this is not possible, securely store it and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible. Data stored locally by the Extension on your device (such as settings and like history) is retained until you uninstall the Extension or clear the Extension's data.

YOUR DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS UNDER THE GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION (GDPR) ​

If you are a resident of the EEA, you have the following data protection rights:

  • If you wish to access, correct, update, or request deletion of your personal information, you can do so at any time by emailing [email protected]. In addition, you can object to the processing of your personal information, ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information, or request portability of your personal information.
  • You have the right to opt out of marketing communications we send you at any time.
  • If we have collected and processed your personal information with your consent, you can withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing your consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing we conducted prior to your withdrawal.
  • You have the right to complain to a data protection authority about our collection and use of your personal information.

We respond to all requests we receive from individuals wishing to exercise their data protection rights in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

YOUR CHOICES ​

You can use the Extension without a Pro subscription, subject to daily like limits. You can uninstall the Extension at any time, which removes all locally stored data (settings, like history, and counters) from your device.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY ​

Yue Apps does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13, and children under 13 are prohibited from using the Extension. If you learn that a child has provided us with personal information in violation of this Privacy Policy, you can alert us at [email protected].

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY ​

This Privacy Policy may be modified from time to time, so please review it frequently. Changes will be posted on this page. If we materially change the ways in which we use or share personal information previously collected from you through the Extension, we will notify you through the Extension, by email, or other communication.

INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS ​

We may transfer personal information to countries other than the country in which the data was originally collected. These countries may not have the same data protection laws as the country in which you initially provided the information. When we transfer your personal information to other countries, we will protect that information as described in this Privacy Policy.
